Sunil Grover opens up on not attending The Kapil Sharma Show to promote Bharat, says 'Mera mann nahi kiya'

Ali Abbas Zafar's upcoming film Bharat has been in the limelight for quite some time now and has been making headlines since its inception. Be it for its unique star cast, or BTS photos, fans have been eagerly waiting to receive updates of the upcoming flick. The lead stars of the movie, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif have left no stone unturned to promote Bharat. Recently, the duo made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, that is bankrolled by the Tubelight actor's production house.
While fans were delighted to see Salman and Katrina having fun on the sets of Kapil's show, they also expected to see Sunil Grover, who was not only a part of The Kapil Sharma Show but also played a pivotal role in the Salman Khan starrer. Revealing the reasons as to why Sunil did not make an appearance on Kapil's show, the actor told Bollywood Hungama, "Mera jaana kuch aisa zaruri bhi nai tha. Jis film mein Salman Khan hai, Katrina Kaif hai toh mukhe nahi lagta ki aapko promotion ke liye aur kisi element ki zarurat hai. Aur mera mann nahi kiya jaaneka toh mai nahi gaya (It was not necessary for me to go there because if you have Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif promoting a film, you don’t need any other element. Also, I did not feel like going there so I did not go.)"

The company is bullish on shifting gears towards its India operations to revive its reputation as a reliable smartphone manufacturer and a 5G player. With the digital-friendly Narendra Modi government back at the helm, it would be interesting to see what would be the reaction towards Huawei - without offending US President Donald Trump who is going after Huawei and its 5G dream. India, with a stable technology scenario, is where Huawei has decided to place its maximum energies on - for both the devices and 5G technology segments where the US ban is set to make it bleed profusely in the coming quarters. Huawei predicts there would be the 2.8 billion 5G users by 2025, and looks seriously at India to offset losses it is going to incur in the wake of US ban. "Unlike the headwinds, it has been fac...

Coronavirus: India lockdown extended for two more weeks

The national coronavirus lockdown in India has been extended beyond 4 May for another two weeks. New guidelines, outlined on Friday, update the country's designated red, green and orange zoning system. Red zones are considered hotspots, while considerable relaxations will be permitted in areas considered less dangerous. India has been under lockdown measures since 24 March, with more than 35,000 cases confirmed nationally. A new home ministry statement, outlining the extension until 18 May, said there had been "significant gains in the Covid-19 situation". But Friday saw a record number of new cases added to the nation's official tally. At least 1,100 are known to have died from the virus in India, but many believe the true number of infections and deaths is far higher than what has been reported.
