Mercury crosses 46 degree mark in Delhi, highest temperature of 50.8 degree recorded in Rajasthan's Churu
New Delhi: Heat wave-like conditions continued to prevail over India on Saturday with the highest temperature of 50.8°C being recorded in Rajasthan's Churu. Delhiites also reeled under the blistering heat as the mercury crossed the 46-degree mark in some parts of the city.
While the Safdarjung Observatory, which provides official figures for Delhi, recorded a high of 43.5 degrees Celsius, and a low of 27.6 degrees Celsius, The weather stations at Palam, Ayanagar, and Jafarpur recorded maximum temperature at 46.1, 46 and 45.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
Humidity levels in the national capital oscillated between 30 per cent and 56 per cent.
