As Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes oath, mother Heeraben Modi watches swearing-in ceremony


After BJP’s landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections Modi visited his home state Gujarat on a two-day visit and met his mother and sought her blessings.
The PM’s mother stays with Modi's younger brother in Raisan, Ahmedabad. 
After taking his oath PM Modi has now become the third prime minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi to return for a second successive term with a full majority.

While his first term as the PM was about “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”, in an address to the newly elected NDA MPs at the Central Hall of the Parliament Modi added "sabka vishwas" which is seen as an effort to reach out to Muslim community.

Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi to attend Modi’s swearing-in ceremony tomorrow

Congress  president  Rahul Gandhi  and UPA chairperson  Sonia Gandhi  will attend  Narendra Modi  swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday, news agency ANI reported. Earlier in the day, West Bengal chief minister  Mamata Banerjee  announced that she will not be attending the event, citing that  BJP had sent an invite to those affected by Bengal “political violence” The BJP has invited family members over 40 party workers, who were killed in political violence Bengal in the last few months, for Modi’s oath taking as the PM for a second term.
